My very first Reel got 200 views.

It hurt. And it kept hurting for a while.

I had no talent. Not for shooting beautifully, not for telling stories well, and no striking looks either.

But I had to admit all of this was just an excuse.

There were people with huge followings who weren't especially good-looking, and countless videos that blew up without polished visuals.

So I decided to break it down.

Why did this video get so many views? I watched, replayed, and watched again. I transcribed the script and captured every single scene to study it.

And to my surprise, things I'd never noticed became visible. What flew by too fast to see, I could finally see once I paused it.

I understood why a script was compelling, and why a scene pulled me in.

I rewrote my own script along those principles. And the results came — beyond anything before.

My followers grew from 2,000 to 40,000. The small lodging I run got great exposure, and revenue followed. One day a comment even called me a "planning genius."

I found dozens of references every day. Since all the videos in my field look alike, I deliberately looked for great videos from completely different industries. I spent over an hour a day just finding references.

(Now I've built it into a "Search" feature on this site so it takes 10 seconds.)

I gathered the references I'd found and analyzed them one by one. I transcribed the script line by line, captured the opening scenes, and broke down why the hook worked. Why it got so many likes, shares, saves, and comments, how the viewer's emotion flowed through each segment, and how it slid naturally into a pitch — I analyzed every bit.

Analyzing one video took an hour. But it was worth every minute.

Now I've built an "Analyze" feature so this finishes in 2 minutes.

People lose focus after analyzing just one video. I did too. But AI never gets tired. It didn't miss even the charm I'd overlooked. That's why this is my favorite feature.

Even the great Salvador Dalí studied the masters by analyzing them this thoroughly.

Once the analysis was done, I wrote my own script. With the reference open beside me, the script flowed. The references gave me so much inspiration — ideas for how to open my story (the hook), ideas for how to direct it, and a lot of help with framing and timing when shooting.

So I built it into the Create feature to make it easy.

That's everything I did.

I once believed I couldn't make it because I had no talent. Looking back, it was simply a matter of 'method'.
